  • To ascertain whether a site is trustworthy, ask yourself the following questions:
  • Who wrote the site? Look for an ABOUT page. If there is no author, be suspicious.
  • Try googling the author's name. See what comes up. What organizations is the author affiliated with?
  • Who published the site? Use www.whois.sc
  • Don't ignore the suffix

    • .com
    • .mil
    • .gov
    • .org
  • What is the main purpose of the site?
